Persian weaving from the city region of Nain in Iran. Sumptuous lamb's wool and silk pile. The 'Shah Abbas' design is one that became famously associated with the Isphahan carpets of the 16th and 17th Centuries. The silk is used as light ivory outlines and as a the aged ivory sections better seen in the detail photos.
